1931 Ford Model A Truck

Perhaps one of the most iconic American cars of the 20s and 30s was the Ford Model A, the successor to the Model T, considered the first affordable car for the masses. The Model A was produced from 1927-1931 and was available in nine different models ranging from the coupe, sedan, wagon, convertible, and truck to name a few.

Ford eventually sold over 4.8 million units, which was a testament to its popularity to the middle class of America. Interestingly, the Soviet company GAZ, a collaboration between Ford and the Soviet Union, licensed the Model A from 1932-1936 and provided the basis for armored cars and trucks eventually used as scout vehicles in WWII. The flat-top, boxy body, and no-nonsense aesthetics echoed Henry Ford’s philosophy of minimal cosmetic frippery in exchange for everyday practicality.

On offer is a last model year 1931 Model A hotrod truck with some updated modifications such as a 1941 59A Flathead engine and 5-speed T-5 transmission. With vintage patina, lowered stance, and classic good looks, this truck is ready to rumble down to your local cruising spot and nab all the attention. Leave it as-is or go all the way with a new paint job to complete the look. It can be yours on Ebay with a current bid of $13,600.
