As a follow-up to the CS and CSL coupes, BMW rolled out the E24 6-series coupe from 1976-1989, which was the first model to wear the 6-series badge. The E24 model designation was a reference to the internal factory chassis code and was actually based off of the E12 and eventually E28 cars.

With its signature shark-nose front end and more modern amenities, brakes, suspension, and engines, the 6-series cars would herald the beginning of BMW’s modern entry into the GT-class of cars, while still retaining classic BMW styling cues and superb road-handling. Overall, the 6-series was a handsome and desirable car, especially post 1981 when they became based off of the improved E28 chassis.

Our featured vehicle is a rare (for the US) 1984 635CSi Euro model that was imported to the States back in the day and has already been federalized. It sports the more-attractive small chrome bumpers, beautiful Sapphire blue exterior, authentic (but not period-correct) M-Parallel wheels, and front and rear spoilers.
