1987 BMW E28 535iS Turbo

The BMW E28 chassis represents a milestone in automotive history. It was upon this platform that the legendary M5 first entered the automotive scene in 1984 at the Amsterdam Motor Show and introduced the world’s first legitimate sports sedan.

It backed this up by earning the title of the fastest production sedan in the world. For realz. This 1987 535iS follows in the footsteps of its ancestor in spirit, looks, and performance. This custom resto-mod starts with a motor swap from a 1985 745i Turbo and 5-speed manual transmission conversion. Round it all up with a bare-metal respray in classic Diamond Schwartz black, new suspension, Euro-style bumpers, and an LSD and you’ve got yourself one sweet executive saloon that can haul ass. All of this can be yours for an asking price of $16,000.
